Kathmandu
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. A traditional warm welcome with garlands by our airport representative. Briefing about the package in the hotel.

Kathmandu (Breakfast)
After breakfast, we begin our full day sight seeing tour of Kathmandu vallery by visiting two very important religious centers, Pashupatinath temple for the Hindus, nearby along the banks of the river Bagmati is the cremation area for the dead, Boudhanath is possibly the largest stupa in the world and the center for Tibetan school of Buddhism. We then drive on to Bhaktapur the medical cities of devotees and the best preserved of all the old cities of Kathmandu Valley. After that we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah kings of Nepal. Places of interest here are the Kasthamandu Valley. After that we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah kings of Nepal. Place of interest here are the Kasthamandap, a medieval rest said to give Kathmandu its name, Kumari Temple, abode of the virgin goddess. From here we visit Swoyambhunath stupa on top of the hill overlooking Kathmandu valley and then we visit Patan city famous for its arts and crafts.

In the evening we have a typical Nepalese Dinner at Lus Kus Restaurant, Thamel

Kathmandu - Lumbini (Breakfast)
Today
we drive to the Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha which has been revered as the place of holy pilgrimage. Listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, Lumbini is being developed with international support as an international Buddhist pilgrimage site and a symbol of world peace. ( On the way you may stop for a while to visit Manakamana Temple, believed as the wish fulfilling goddess by cable car.)

On reaching Lumbini we check in our hotel and can take a walk to the Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born converges on the Ashoka pillar, and the Maya Devi temple with a bas relief depicting the Nativity. The serece, tree-shaded lawn is doteed with brick mounds which are the remains of ancient stupas and monasteries.

Lumbini (Breakfast)
Today we take a drive to Tilaurkot, 27km west of Lumbini. An important archaeological site, Tilaurkot evokes the ancient palace of King Suddhodhan, Siddhartha Gautam's father, where the Buddha spent his fromative years as a Shakya prince. The Kapilvastu Museum in Tilaurkot holds coins, pottery, jewelry and ornaments from 700 BC-400 AD. A must for archaeology and history buffs.

Many Asian countries with large numbers of Buddhists have constructed, or are constructing, temples, monasteries and stupas near the Sacred Garden in the International Monastery Zone. The various shrines, reflecting the different architectural traditions of the respective countries, give Lumbini an international feel and enhance its message of universal friendship and brotherhood. In the afternoon we visit these Shrines.

Lumbini - (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, we are driven to Royal Chitwan National Park, our destination for wild viewing. We bring our safari activities almost immediately with a briefing, elephant ride, jungle walks, canoe ride and jeep ride in pursuit of myriad flora and fauna including the rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tigers. In the evening we have some cultural entertainment plus bonfire during winter.

Chitwan (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today we have full day jungle activities.

Chitwan - Pokhara (Breakfast)
We drive back to Kathmandu and relax in our hotel. Rest of the day we are free.

Kathmandu Departure (Breakfast)
We are free today until our departure transfer to the airport.
